Introduction to Civil Engineering

From "field to finish" students explore various survey equipment and how GPS technology has change the world of Civil Engineering. Through importing data, students learn about triangulation, surveyors coordinates and how our world is laid out. Using real world projects students create roads, subdivisions and parking lots. Students are introduced to GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and how they help cities and states make decisions that improve our environment. Students learn about various career paths available in Civil Engineering and the steps they need to take to get there. The course can be instructor led or online. We provide the syllabus, presentation tools, quizzes and testing that supply valuable information used for Student Outcomes Assessments.
